Privacy policy — English
Effective October 20, 2026. Maintained by hungchihsueh.
Joan stores period records, symptoms, mood, intimate activity, temperature, LH results and notes in your browser's IndexedDB. Language, appearance, tracking and reminder preferences, PIN settings and the last export time use localStorage. No account, ads, analytics SDK or automatic cloud sync is used. Joan does not send health records or backup passwords to its maintainer.
The PIN is an interface lock; the browser database is not encrypted. Password-protected exports use a derived key and AES-GCM. Keep your backup and password safe. We cannot recover records, PINs or passwords. Resetting site storage to remove a forgotten PIN also deletes the local records.
Settings → Privacy & security lets you export, restore or clear health records. Clearing removes periods, logs, measurements and profile data, and resets tracking and reminders. Language, appearance and PIN preferences remain. Use your browser's site-data controls to remove all site storage. Delete downloaded backups and copies on other devices separately. Browser eviction, private browsing, clearing site data or losing your device may permanently remove records. Export before changing devices, browsers or the site's origin.
Cloudflare hosts this website and may process IP addresses, request URLs, timestamps, browser and security information under its linked policy. Fonts and app assets are hosted here; service workers cache assets for offline use. Initial loading and updates require a connection.
Support uses the public GitHub Issues linked above, subject to GitHub's privacy statement. Share only device/browser versions and reproduction steps. Do not upload records, backups, passwords or identifiable screenshots. Policy changes are dated on this page.
